#1. To be succesful in your boutique you must offer items that can't be found everywhere else. Customers are coming to you because they don't want to buy the same old boring items that can be found in the big chain stores. This can be as simple as unique jewelry, unique handbags etc...

#2. Customers who shop boutiques want great customer service. They expect to be treated on a more personal level. This can be as simple as offering to help them find something or suggesting something you think would be flattering on them. Sometimes it is a simple as introducing yourself and being friendly.

#3. Know the latest trends and styles. You should be able to explain and understand what is hot in the fashion world and offer products that are considered the "it" item.
